DOTComm collaborates with City of Omaha and Douglas County Departments on potential project ideas and requests. Departments use an automated project request system to submit project ideas for DOTComm to perform a high-level assessment on the effort and cost required. As project ideas are assessed and determined to be feasible, projects are then prioritized and place in a queue.
DOTComm provides a Project Management Methodology on efforts generally greater than 40 hours. Our methodology provides guidance and processes from project initiation through project closing. The standards in this methodology serve as resources and tools for each IT project manager and team, and a common format for evaluating progress toward project goals, objectives, and deliverables.
